Jim L. Griffaw, 57, 859 N. Cape Rock Drive, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born April 29, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph Leroy and Margaret Elizabeth Herbst Griffaw. He and Joan Leatrice Teets were married Sept. 6, 1958, in Cape Girardeau.

Griffaw had been a sales representative with Klaussner International since 1979. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Elks, Kansas City Furniture Sales Representative Association, National Independent Reps Association, and Arkansas Furniture Association. He was a former member of Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roy Griffaw of Cape Girardeau, Jim Griffaw of Kansas City; two daughters, Ruth Griffaw of Mexico, Mo., Christine Griffaw of Nashville, Tenn.; his mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Tom Griffaw of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ricki Ing of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
