Jim Gilliland, 80, of Memphis, Tennessee, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014.
He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Morley, Missouri, to Charlie and Opal Woods Gilliland.
Jim was a member of Range Hills Baptist Church and was retired from E.L. Bruce and Prest Enterprise.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
The loving husband of Lillie Gilliland, Jim also leaves two daughters, Cathy (Jerry) Price of Mounds, Illinois, and Sonya Scallon of Memphis; two sons, Wesley (Jeannie) Gilliland of Mounds and Bill Stephens of Aurora, Colorado; a sister, Evelin Estes of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Ty and Dillon Gilliland and Justin and Erin Stephens; and a great-granddaughter, Destiney Rowland.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
