Jim E. Vangilder, 62, 1202 Price, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992, at his home. He was born July 17, 1929, at Jackson, son of Edward and Grace Johnson Vangilder. He and Ruth Ann Bauerle were married Dec. 27, 1950, in Cape Girardeau. Vangilder was involved in real estate and appraisals 36 years in the Cape Girardeau area. Jim E. Vangilder, 62, 1202 Price, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1929, at Jackson, son of Edward and Grace Johnson Vangilder. He and Ruth Ann Bauerle were married Dec. 27, 1950, in Cape Girardeau.

Vangilder was involved in real estate and appraisals 36 years in the Cape Girardeau area. He was a member of Church of Christ and VFW Post 3838. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet Rigdon of Cape Girardeau, Ann Farrell of St. Louis, Julia Readnour of Indianapolis, Ind., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. David Bragg will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
