Funeral service for Jewels White of Marston was held Sunday at DeLisle Funeral Chapel in Portageville. The Rev. Joe Baldwin officiated. Burial was in Portageville Cemetery.
White, 74, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at Portageville Nursing Center.
He was born July 20, 1921, at Conran, son of Charles Edward and Lillie May Hawkins White. He and Ruby Geneva Hudspeth were married Jan. 17, 1946, at Portageville.
White was retired from Noranda Aluminum. He was a member of Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bruce White of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Donald White of Orange City, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Brand of St. Charles, Margaret Moylan of Portageville; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
