BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Jewell Maxine Taylor of Bloomfield will be held at 10 a.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Vick Suhany will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Taylor, 69, died Monday, May 16, 1994, at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Jan. 24, 1925, in Bloomfield, daughter of Thomas and Elvina Wren Wilkerson. She and James H. Taylor were married Jan. 19, 1945, in Piggott, Ark. He died Feb. 13, 1988.
Taylor was retired from Absorbent Cotton Co. in Valley Park, and had lived here the past 15 years.
Survivors include a son, Gary Taylor of Granite City, Ill.; two daughters, Betty Lewellen of Valley Park, Glenda Dalton of Farmington; two sisters, Jean Underwood of Bloomfield, Iva Phillips of St. Louis; five grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
