JEWELL BENNETT

Funeral for B. Jewell Bennett of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glynn Robison will officiate. Burial will be in the Bennett Family Cemetery at Lodi.

Friends may call at the chapel from 6-8 p.m. today.

Bennett, 87, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services.

She was born Jan. 31, 1912, at Kimes, daughter of Henry and Dora Williams Craig. She and H. Latt Bennett were married April 13, 1929, at Lodi. He died Aug. 11, 1994.

Bennett was a nurses aide at Ozark Nursing Home in Fredericktown for seven years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Fredericktown.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Wilkins of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lottie Herbert of Columbus, Ohio; a grandson; two stepgrandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and a brother.
