Jessiele "Jessie" Bentley Corvick, 90, of Scott City and McLean, Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 21, 1920, in Illmo, to Albert E. and Jessie Lee Barnes Bentley. She married William A. "Bill" Corvick Dec. 21, 1945, in Falls Church, Va. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1987...

Jessiele "Jessie" Bentley Corvick, 90, of Scott City and McLean, Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 21, 1920, in Illmo, to Albert E. and Jessie Lee Barnes Bentley. She married William A. "Bill" Corvick Dec. 21, 1945, in Falls Church, Va. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1987.

They made their home in McLean until 1977, when they moved to Bill's family farm near Scott City.

Surviving are three daughters, Rebecca Ann Corvick of Hannibal, N.Y., Susan Elaine Corvick of Scott City, Carol Annette (Raphael "Ray") LaPorte of Trenton, Ill.; a granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Quaintance of Hannibal; a sister, Rosemary (Joseph) George of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Darlene DeLong of Kelso, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Dickey.

Jessie was a member of the Silver Creek Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution in Highland, Ill. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Jessie loved animals and flowers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center or to a local animal shelter/charity.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a time convenient to the family. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
