Jessie L. Kamp, 96, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born near Randles Nov. 20, 1924, to Charles Samuel and Melinda Lehmann Evans. She and Earl Kamp were married June 24, 1945. He passed away May 14, 2009.
Jessie was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was a tax accountant until her retirement. Jessie and Earl owned and operated numerous businesses in Jackson and had farming interests in Cape Girardeau and Stoddard counties.
Jessie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; her parents; three brothers, Newton, Doyle and Forrest Evans; and three sisters, Genevieve (James) Bodato, Aline Lange and Marie (J.G.) Haupt.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
