JESSIE JONES

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Jessie Pauline Jones of East Prairie will be held at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. Jerry Willer will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Jones, 81, died Wednesday, April 17, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 14, 1914, in East Prairie, daughter of Luchen and Ermine Poole Banks. She and Uriel Jones were married Sept. 12, 1932. He died Dec. 29, 1966.

Jones lived in Chicago a number of years, returning to East Prairie in 1983. She was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Curtis Jones of Stockbridge, Ga.; four daughters, Sharon Johnson of Frankfort, Ill., Irma Cerven of Jenison, Mich., Pat Severance of Grandville, Mich., Jackie Greene of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
