JESSIE HALFORD

SIKESTON -- Jessie E. Halford, 66, of Sikeston died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born April 8, 1928 in Cooter, Mo., the son of Jessie Thomas and Bertha Lee Wallace Halford.

He was owner of Halford Radiator Repair and a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church.

He was a member of the Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310, a 32 degree Mason with Scottish Rite of St. Louis. He was a member of Moolah Shrine Temple of St. Louis and a member of Grand Lodge 925 of Aurora and Hardin, Ky.

On Jan. 19, 1969 in Sikeston, he married the former Orena Patterson. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Jess Sherman Halford, Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Elmer Thomas Halford, Caruthersville, Jackie Wallace Halford, Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Goldie Lee Blackburn and Georgia Opal Hale, both of Hayti; and one grandson.

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation and Masonic rites were held Friday.

Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Dale McFarland, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
