CATRON -- Jessie J. Burleson, 60, of Catron died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.He was born April 10, 1939, in Antlers, Okla., son of Johnie Jackson and Olar Ward Burleson. He and Carol Ann Mitchell were married Dec. 26, 1960, in Dallas, Texas.Burleson lived in Catron most of his life. He was a member of Catron Church.Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tommy Burleson of New Madrid, Jessie and James Burleson of Malden; four daughters, Linda Peak of DeKalb, Texas, Kathy Walker of Campbell, Shirley Garrett and Leslie Burleson of Catron.Also surviving are six brothers, Charlie, Dave, Hugh and Johnie Burleson of Arkansas, Amos Burleson of Dudley, Buster Burleson of Malden; two sisters, Anna Mitchell of Lilbourn, Gracie Curtis of Waldron, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma after 5 p.m. today.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stanley Wallis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
