Jessie Ackman

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Jessie Isadora Ackman, 96, of St. Charles passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Frontier Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Charles.

She was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Millersville, daughter of Jesse and Desdia Stroder Sander. She and Leslie "Les" Ackman were married April 3, 1939. He passed away Oct. 5, 1977.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Jewel Farris of St. Charles; a brother, Donald Sander of Millersville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years; a daughter, Marilyn Markhart; six sisters; and two brothers.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at Haynes Chapel in Millersville.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Interment will be in Haynes Chapel Cemetery in Millersville.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Haynes Chapel Cemetery.
