SIKESTON -- -- Jessie Moore, 87, of Sikeston died Monday, July 14, 1997, at the Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 9, 1910, in Shelby County, Tenn., the daughter of Jerry and Willie Gather Moore.
She was a retired postal service worker.
She belonged to the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston and served on its usher board.
Survivors include four nephews, Elder Thomas Moore of Boynton Beach, Fla., Bobby Moore and Jerry Moore of Phoenix, Ariz., and Johnny Moore of Marked Tree, Ark.; and six nieces, Minnie Moore and Ressie Moore of Marked Tree, Scottie Sue Moore of Phoenix, Bennie Faye Lenear of Detroit, Mich., Richard Mae Rivers of Chicago, Ill., and Louise Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif.
Friends may call from noon Wednesday until the time of the funeral at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with Pastor Ronald Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
