JACKSON -- Jesse "Jay" Hartle, 73, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, at Jackson Manor.
He was born July 30, 1923, at Millersville, son of Hubert and Bessie Seabaugh Hartle. He and Ilena Seabaugh were married Sept. 27, 1944, in Piggott, Ark.
Hartle had worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill, and was a truck driver with Wetterau more than 20 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church, and Excelsior Masonic Lodge 441 in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kathy Mock of Marble Hill; two brothers, Al Hartle of Dexter, Art Hartle of Millersville; three sisters, Alene Proctor, Rose Seabaugh and Vesta Bollinger, all of Jackson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Thursday after 8:30 a.m. A Masonic service will be held at 7 tonight.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Rister officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
