Jerry Leslie Linhart Sr., 58, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Feb. 9, 1943, in East Prairie, Mo., son of Bevly Burton and Mary Elizabeth Fowler Linhart. He and Carolyn Hannah were married May 29, 1965, in East Prairie.
Linhart was a mechanic, and a member of Gospel Assembly Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Linhart Jr. of Sikeston, Mo.; four daughters, Gloria Parker, Veneca Burton, Pamela Brooks and Victoria Dacus, all of Cape Girardeau; six brothers, Norvell and Ernest Linhart of East Prairie, Charles Linhart of Indianapolis, Ind., Alvin, Edward and Danny Linhart, all of Granite City, Ill.; four sisters, Edna Hendrix, Kathy Hannah and Cheryl Carter, all of Cape Girardeau, Anita Ackinson of East St. Louis, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Winferd Wren officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
