Jerry Gott Sr.

Jerry Wayne Gott Sr., 77, son of Lois Scialaba of Scott City and the late Robert Gott, was born March 7, 1944, in Corning, Arkansas, and departed this life Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at his home in Scott City.

On Aug. 23, 1967, he was united in marriage to Margaret Alice Finley in Charleston, South Carolina. She survives of the home in Scott City.

Jerry was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended the Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

Besides his wife and mother, survivors include two sons, Jerry Wayne Gott Jr. of Cocoa, Florida, and David Allen Gott of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and three grandchildren, Joseph Gott and Jennifer Gott, both of Cocoa, and Katie Gott of Maine.

Services will be held at a later date conducted by the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
