Jerry Elem

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Jerry "Hoppy" Elem, 68, of Bell City passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 4, 1947, at Jaywye, Missouri, the son of Robert and Irene Dockins Elem.

Jerry was a truck driver for Sam Tanksley Trucking.

Jerry and Phyllis Bryant were united in marriage Jan. 29, 1979, at Bell City, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Julie Counts of Campbell, Missouri.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a twin sister, Julia; and a brother, Larry James.

Morgan Funeral Home at Advance, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
