ADVANCE, Mo. -- Jerry Dewayne Coffee, 72, of Advance passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 30, 1945, in Lilbourn, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Betty Ford Coffee.
Jerry worked as a truck driver for Kranawetter Transport for the last six years. He had been a truck driver since 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
His favorite thing and what he loved most was being a grandpa.
Jerry and Barbara Jo Ford were united in marriage July 28, 1973, in Advance, and she survives of the home.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Coffee; two daughters, Kristy Coffee and Stacy Coffee, both of Advance; four brothers, John Coffee of Advance, Tom Coffee of Puxico, Missouri, Rick Coffee of Advance and Mike Coffee of Sturdivant, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Levi and Cashlaynn Sturgeon, both of Advance.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Danny and Stevie Coffee.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Coffee officiating. Burial will follow at Dongola Cemetery in Dongola, Missouri, with full military rites.
