ST. LOUIS -- Jerry H. Burchyett, 78, of St. Louis passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014. Jerry fought a courageous battle against cancer nine years. Dear husband of 57 years of Mary Frogge Burchyett; father of Todd Burchyett and Kelly Burchyett; grandfather of Adam Aton and Audrey Aton; brother of Don Burchyett, Kathryn Wagnor and Grace Fitzpatrick; his honorary son, Doug McIlhagga (Jackie)...

ST. LOUIS -- Jerry H. Burchyett, 78, of St. Louis passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014. Jerry fought a courageous battle against cancer nine years.

Dear husband of 57 years of Mary Frogge Burchyett; father of Todd Burchyett and Kelly Burchyett; grandfather of Adam Aton and Audrey Aton; brother of Don Burchyett, Kathryn Wagnor and Grace Fitzpatrick; his honorary son, Doug McIlhagga (Jackie).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Marie Burchyett; and a brother, Cliff Burchyett.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Shepard, 1601 Woodstone Drive, St. Charles, Missouri.

Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home in St. Charles is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry donated his body to Washington University School of Medicine.
