Jerry "Bondzo" Bond, son of the late Veda Bond, was born March 19, 1945, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 75. Jerry enjoyed going to basketball games and rodeos, working out at the farm, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He drove for Valley Steel for 25 years. Jerry "Bondzo" Bond, son of the late Veda Bond, was born March 19, 1945, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 75.

Jerry enjoyed going to basketball games and rodeos, working out at the farm, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He drove for Valley Steel for 25 years. His CB handle was "Blue Goose."

He is survived by a son, Scott (Angie) Bond of Delta; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Frederick of Chaffee, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Cobb of Chaffee and Janet Bond of Delta; 11 grandchildren, Brent (Abbi) Menz, Kaci (Kendall) Deason, Jodi (David) Heeb, Erin (Richie) Seyer, Jon Bond, Hannah Bond, Erik Wilson, Emma Wilson, Shelby (Chris) Kearbey, Shayna Ancell and Grace Ancell; and four great-grandchildren: Kruz and Krozby Deason, Kynzlee Kearbey and Eliza Seyer. Jerry is also survived by Sue Burnett-Bond, the mother of his children,

Besides his mother, Jerry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jerri Lynn Menz; a son-in-law, Marty Menz; two sisters, Betty Hanger and Delilah Bond; and a brother, Jack Bond.

Visitation will be begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Don Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Memorial Cemetery in Advance, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the St. Louis University Transplant Center at ssmhealth.com.
