Jerome Loverne Lindner, 66, of Jackson, formerly of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at his home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1950, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Loverne John and Imelda Blevins Landers Lindner. Jerome and Carla Campbell were married April 4, 1980, in Jackson.
He was a 1971 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and the first student from Oak Ridge to attend the Cape Girardeau Vocational School.
After school, he worked on the river but became disabled in 1991 and retired.
He volunteered at the Veterans Home and the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief.
He was an active member of AA Group of Jackson.
Jerome attended First Baptist Church of Millersville.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Lindner, and son Michael J. Lindner, both of Jackson; and four sisters, Virginia Harrison of McLoud, Oklahoma, Mary Steele of Cape Girardeau, Helen Benoit of Rolla, Missouri, and Margaret Lindner of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Michael L. Lindner; and sister Theresa Berry.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.
The funeral will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
