PERRYVILLE -- Jerome "Jerry" E. Hagan Sr., 59, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at his home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1933, at Perryville, the son of the late John S. and Lillian M. Glaub Hagan. On March 30, 1953, he married Catherine Sue Ochs, who survives of the home.
He was a salesman for Wholesale Liquors in Perryville and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He also was a member of several Perryville social clubs and organizations including:
The Knights of Columbus, fourth degree and a past grand knight; Eagles Club; AmVets Post #94; American Legion Post #133; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4282; Elks Club; Holy Name Society; Ministry of Praise; and he was the past president of the St. Vincent's Alumni Association.
Other survivors include three sons, Jerome E. "Jagan" Hagan Jr., Robert L. "Bobby" Hagan, and John F. Hagan, all of Perryville; four daughters, Kathy Tierney of St. Louis, Debra Sue Huber and Karen M. Yamnitz, both of Perryville, and Mary B. Steinberg of Bethalfo, Ill.; two sisters, Rita Wibbenmeyer and June Bodenschatz, both of Perryville; two brothers, Joseph Hagan of Perryville and James Hagan of Englewood, Colo.; a half-brother, Vince Henry of Ohio; and 20 grandchildren.
The body will rest in state from 4-9 p.m. today and from 6:30-10:45 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. A parish and Knights of Columbus wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today.
Funeral mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. The Rev. Henry Grodecki and Ken Grass will officiate, and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
