WHITEWATER -- Jerome "Jerry" Chandler, 40, of Diboll, Texas, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1993, in Diboll.
He was born March 3, 1953, in St. Louis, son of Glenn and LaVerne Cox Chandler. He married the former Velvet Pahls.
Chandler was a truck driver with Gypsum Transport in Diboll. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Thelma Hoffman of Kilgore, Texas; his father and stepmother, Glenn and Lorraine Chandler of Whitewater, and a stepgranddaughter.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Stroderville Cemetery here, with the Rev. Arvil Huffman officiating. Amick-Burnett Funeral Home of Chaffee is in charge of local arrangements.
Friends may call until 4 p.m. today at Gipson Funeral Home in Diboll.
