Jeffrey Todd Mayberry, 37, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in Orange County, Texas. He was born on June 3, 1970, in St. Louis, the son of Thomas W. and Debbie K. (Story) Mayberry. He graduated from Kelly High School in Benton, Mo., in 1988 and served in the U.S. Navy from June 16, 1988, to May 15, 1992...

Jeffrey Todd Mayberry, 37, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in Orange County, Texas.

He was born on June 3, 1970, in St. Louis, the son of Thomas W. and Debbie K. (Story) Mayberry.

He graduated from Kelly High School in Benton, Mo., in 1988 and served in the U.S. Navy from June 16, 1988, to May 15, 1992.

He worked for Missouri Barge Lines in Cape Girardeau and before that worked for Ingram Barge Lines in Paducah, Ky., for seven years.

He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie K. Baker of Tulsa, Okla.; his father, Thomas W. Mayberry of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dawn M. (Richard) Hetzel of Freeburg, Mo.; a brother, Thomas J. Mayberry of Atlanta; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Dean Campbell of Cape Girardeau; and five nieces, Lynsi Mayberry, Taylor Mayberry, Alyson Hetzel, Jordyn Hetzel and Laynee Hetzel.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lewis Todd officiating.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors from the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorials may be made to Red Star Baptist Church, 1301 North Main Street, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
