SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jeanette Ramsey, 63, of Sikeston died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 3, 1939, in Itta-Bena, Miss., daughter of Naomi Holmes Moore Manning of Pocahontas, Ark., and the late Fontell Moore. She and L.D. Ramsey were married July 28, 1965. He died Sept. 9, 1975.
Ramsey was a member of Laureate Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include a stepson, Jim Ramsey of Nashville, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Johnson of Sikeston; one brother, Bobbie Moore of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Annette Duzdan of Reyno, Ark., Sherry Mount of Round Lake Beach, Ill., and Karen Segraves of Memphis, Tenn.; three stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 1 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Lemons officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
