PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Jeanette V. Finger, 75, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at her home.
She was born Aug. 7, 1939, at Longtown, Missouri, to Bernard W. and Clara L. Lappe Hennemann. She married Walter Finger on May 25, 1957, at Perryville. He preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2013.
Jeanette worked in food service in the St. Vincent de Paul school system. She also baby sat many years, and loved her baby-sitting kids. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality, and a past member and officer of Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane M. (Dale) Grogg of Perryville; a daughter-in-law, Kim Finger of Perryville; four grandchildren, Justin Grogg, Jessica (Jason) Buchheit, Gregory Finger and Valerie Finger; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Kyle Buchheit; three sisters, Dolores Schlichting and Angela Fausz of Perryville and Lulu Gettinger of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; and a brother, Wayne Hennemann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Terry Lee Finger; a brother, Barney Hennemann; and three sisters, Rita Rubach, Bernetta Lankford and Anna Kahmke.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at Miller Family Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church. Jeanette's godson, the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Vincent Elementary School, Parkinson's Foundation, Alzheimer's Association or Serenity Hospice.
