MCGEE -- Jean Hanner Smith, 74, of St. Peters died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1924, at McGee, daughter of Oscar Alonzo and Maymie Bernice Burnley Walk. She first married Curtis Hanner March 11, 1939, at Marble Hill. He died Nov. 15, 1988. She later married Tom Smith.
Smith had been manager of restaurants in St. Louis.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marie Duisen of St. Charles; a brother, Claude Walk of McGee; five sisters, Maxine Davis of California, Christine Berrong of McGee, Pauline Kibler and Carol Hamlin of St. Charles, Eula Berrong of St.Ann; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Sitze officiating. Burial will be in New Hope-McGee Cemetery.
