SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The family of Jean Marie Richardson-Hails is sad to announce her passing Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer.
Jean was born June 11, 1952, to Daniel David Richardson Jr. and Leah Yvonne Masterson.
She will be remembered with love by her husband, Keith Hails; son, Adam (Allison) Hails; and her grandson, Isaac, who she loved beyond words. Jean also will be remembered with affection and missed greatly by her stepdaughters, Jennifer and Jackie; sisters, Margaret (Terry) Farrow and Mary Jane (Gary) Palermo; brother, Daniel David (Christy) Richardson III; sisters-in-law, Jo Duff and Stacey Mayberry; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She was passionate about and loved working in her garden, kayaking and collecting original art and music. Jean was a kind, generous and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
She will be remembered as she wanted, with laughter, and loved. Words on paper do not do her life justice.
A remembrance of her will be celebrated by close friends and family at her home in Springfield.
Jean valued education and believed in it with deep conviction. A Gofundme account will be set up in Jean Marie Hails' name, and all donations will be put in a trust for her grandson, Isaac's, college tuition.
