FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Imogene "Jean" Keller, 93, formerly of Bonne Terre, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at the Camelot Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Farmington, where she had resided for the past four years.
She was born March 2, 1923, in Bonne Terre, daughter of Raymond and Hazel Murphy Willa.
On Jan. 20, 1943, she married Lester Hawn. He passed away Jan. 31, 1978.
She married Manley Keller on June 23, 1983, and he passed away Nov. 16, 1996.
Jean taught at several local schools early in her working career, had been a substitute teacher and most recently worked at Holekamp Lumber Company.
She was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Bonne Terre, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the church kitchen band, and a member of the Bonne Terre Eastern Star.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Susan (Ivan) Statler of Fredericktown, Missouri; two grandsons, Joshua (Natalie) Statler of Valley Park, Missouri, and Alex Statler of Cape Girardeau; a great-granddaughter, Ainsley Caroline Statler of Valley Park; two stepsons, Bruce (Janice) Keller of Bonne Terre and Perry (Sandee) Keller of Houston; four stepgrandchildren, Jason (Amy) Keller and Kate (Bill) Cotton of Bonne Terre, Kallee (Chris) Ortman of Festus, Missouri, and Crystal Gregg of Houston; eight step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hawn, and her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and John Jenkins.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Centenary United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be at noon at the church, with the Rev. Dave Wiant officiating. Interment will be in Bonne Terre Cemetery.
