JEAN K. HARDY

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Mrs. Jean K. Hardy of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Revs. Cy Smith and Tom Shoger will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Hardy died Sunday, Feb. 24, 1991, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Grover C. and Alice C. Haggerty Hartle. She married John G. Hardy Nov. 17, 1955, in Tupelo, Miss. He died Feb. 9, 1984.

Mrs. Hardy had been a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church, but attended Christ Presbyterian Church. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Survivors include two sisters, Geneva McKinnis of Cape, Evelyn Bond of Hazelwood; a brother, Bill Hartle of Cape; nieces and nephews.
