DONGOLA, Ill. — J.D. Norman, 72, of Dongola died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at his home.

He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Tamms, Ill., son of James and Louise Tanner Norman.

Norman was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Dongola Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin Norman of Dongola; a companion, Edna Havlen; a brother, Francis Bradley of Anna, Ill.; a sister, Geraldine Zappa of Aberdeen, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Burial will be at a later date.
