DEXTER -- J.D. Crank, 74, of Dexter, died Monday, April 24, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 19, 1920, at Puxico, son of Jessie Houston and Lucy Jane Williams Crank. He and Essie Trammell were married Sept. 3, 1938, in Poplar Bluff.
Crank lived in Michigan 37 years, moving to Dexter in 1980. He was retired from General Motors. Crank attended Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jim Crank of Dexter; a daughter, Shirley Alumbaugh of Pontiac, Mich.; a brother, Bill Crank of Asherville; two sisters, Jessie Ashbaugh of Puxico, Marie Yocks of Marble Hill; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Dean Williams and Marion Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
