The following memorial tribute was written by Jayson's loving family:
Jayson Michael Warren, 24, of Chaffee, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 11:51 p.m. at his home, surrounded by members of his loving family.
Jayson Michael Warren was born Jan. 13, 1999, in Cape Girardeau. He was the son of Janice Warren Aaro. Jayson was a hero to all. Looking at this world through his eyes was truly amazing. He had a heart transplant as a baby, and he fought colon cancer three times, ending up with a permanent colostomy. In 2013, he developed Hodgkin's lymphoma and scoliosis, and then renal/kidney failure, which ended his precious life. The numerous surgeries and obstacles he had to endure were insurmountable.
This sweet, loving child enjoyed life, even though he was limited to what he, himself, could do. He loved watching other children play, loved watching others talking and laughing. He loved helping anyone he could as long as his body was able. He enjoyed talking of his love for God and his love for his family. He also loved talking of receiving a new body when he made it to Heaven.
Jayson loved wrestling and throwing a football, especially with his Uncle "Boo-Boo" Rex Howard Jr., who he looked up to all his life.
Jayson is survived by his mom, Janice Warren Aaro; stepdad, Patrick A. Aaro Jr.; brothers, Christian Elbrecht and Zachary Aaro; and stepbrother, Patrick P. Aaro, all of Cape Girardeau; his maternal grandparents, Rex and Mildred "Midi" Howard of Chaffee; paternal grandmother, Cynthia Aaro of New Mexico; uncle, Rex Howard of Chaffee, and his children, Rex Howard III and Waylon Howard; aunt, Stacy, and her husband, Raymond Powell, of Commerce, Georgia; cousin, Kimberly, and her husband, Scott Moore, of Georgia, and their children, Joselyn, Benjamin and Jackson; cousin, Justin Pinnix of Tennessee; and his loving godmother, Bambi Stearns of Metropolis, Illinois, who the family, especially Jayson, wishes to give a huge "thank you" for always being there when needed.
The family would also like to thank Bailey Funeral Home of Vienna, Illinois, for the kindness shown to them. A special thanks for all of the many doctors and nurses throughout Jayson's entire life and for the Saint Francis Hospice nurses for the care and love they have all shown through our difficult time.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Bailey Funeral Home.
