ELDON, Mo. — J.F. "Jay" Dopp, 89, of Eldon passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022.
He was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Ancell. He was the son of the late Ernest and Alice Jennings Dopp. On Sept. 13, 1953, in Fornfelt, he was united in marriage to Yvonne Weaver Dopp, who preceded him in death Feb. 17, 2012.
J.F. served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a devoted educator and coach, and retired as an assistant superintendent with Ozark School District.
Survivors include sons, Kevin (Claudette) Dopp of Osceola, Missouri, and Kent Dopp of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters, Karen (Craig) Martin of St. Charles, Missouri, and Karla (Pat) Churchman of Osage Beach, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Walker of San Antonio.
Per his wishes, his body has been cremated, and interment, with full military honors, will be held at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis.
Memorials in his name are suggested to American Heart Association.
