Jason Pobst

Jason Lynn Pobst, 34, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his home in Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 20, 1975, in Sikeston, to Charles M. "Chuck" Pobst and Judy Lynn Daniel Pharris.

He had worked on the Pobst Farm and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his parents of Sikeston; a son, Gavin Pobst of Sikeston; stepmother, Debbie Pobst of Sikeston; stepfather, Jim Pharris Jr. of Sikeston; three brothers, Matt and Chris Pobst and Daniel Pharris, all of Sikeston; paternal grandfather, Floyd Pobst of Sikeston; maternal grandfather and his wife, Henry and Linda Daniel of Bell City, Mo., maternal grandmother, Kathy McIntyre of Sikeston; stepgrandparents, Shirley Colvin of Cape Girardeau and Jim and Neva Pharris of Sikeston.

Visitation will be after noon today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Greg Forester, pastor of the River of Life Worship Center in Sikeston, officiating. A private disposition of the cremains will be held at a later date.
