ANNA, Ill. -- Jason Ray Casey, 75, of Anna died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at his home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, Ill., son of Jason and Nancy Osman Casey.
Casey was employed 31 years at Fruitbelt Farm Service, retiring in 1993. He was a life member and past quartermaster of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455, board member of Union County Farm Bureau 23 years, board member on the Regional Superintendent of Schools 24 years, Union County Fair Board, and past Democratic precinct committeeman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Lehman of St. Peters, Mo., Nancy Modglin of St. Charles, Mo.; two sons, Jason Casey II of Kansas City, Mo., James Casey of Anna; two sisters, Valda Keller and Pauline Gurley of Jonesboro, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery, with full military honors by VFW Post 3455.
