Janice E. Thiele, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 25, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 19, 1932, at Tilsit, daughter of Willie and Lana Overbeck Friedhoff. She and Louis Martin Thiele were married Nov. 26, 1949, at Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 1, 1984.
She was a seamstress and worked for Thorngate Ltd. for 15 years and for Ralph Edward Sportswear.
She was of the Lutheran faith and was a former member of the Eagles Club.
Survivors include six sons, Charles Thiele of Wright City, Jerry, Bill, David, and Kenny Thiele, all of Cape Girardeau, and Mike Thiele of St. Louis; three daughters, Sandra Crites of Marble Hill, Marilyn Woosley of Crofton, Ky., and Kathy Thiele of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley Friedhoff; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jack Leslie will officiate, with burial at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
