Janice Ruth Hendricks, 66, of Jackson went to be with her heavenly father Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, to Ralph and Vivian Ross Harris.
Janice was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and a retired schoolteacher.
Survivors include her mother, Vivian Ruth Harris of Jackson; a son, Dr. Allen Hendricks, his wife Amy and their son Luciano of Dallas; a brother, Lee (Carol) Harris of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister, Lynn (Bill) Suhre of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Angela (Brian) Hubbard of Jackson; a nephew, Tyson (Kelly) Suhre of Cape Girardeau; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Lee Harris; and great-nephew, Chase Suhre.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lynwood Baptist Church Library Fund.
