TAMMS, Ill. -- G. Janette (Pettit) Chaudoin, 72, of Tamms died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
She was born Aug. 9, 1938, at Cairo, Ill., daughter of Roland Petitt, Sr. and Anna Eickelman Pettit. She married Milton M. Chaudoin. He preceded her in death Oct. 25, 2003.
Pettit owned and operated the Tri-County Building Supply Co. in Tamms. She was also a member of the Tamms Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include a son, Rick (Cindy) Pettit of Waddy, Ky.; a sister, Dot (Gene) Heater of Livonia, Mich.; a brother, John (Laneta) Pettit of Golden Eagle, Ill.; a nephew, James L. Pettit of Tamms; and other nieces, nephews and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Leo and Roland Pettit Jr.; and a sister, Naomi Thomas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill.
