CHARLESTON -- Janet Saye Summers, 41, of Brighton, Ill. and formerly of Charleston died from injuries she received in an automobile accident on the morning of Friday, Nov. 15, 1991, near Brighton.
She was born Nov. 9, 1950, in Charleston, the daughter of Lindell Estes, who survives of Charleston and the late Jean Welker Estes.
She lived in Brighton for the past 13 years, where she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was employed with William Dell Achievement and Resource Center as a developmental trainer.
Survivors include her step-mother, Ruth Eggers Estes of Charleston; a son, Mike Summers of the home; a daughter, Melody Summers of the home; a step-son, Tim Summers of Brighton; two step-daughters, Bev Summers of Brighton and Kim Outman of Brunswick, Maine; two brothers, Ronnie and Dennis Estes, both of Charleston; and a materal grandmother and step-grandfather, Hazel and Leonard Daniels of Advance.
A brother also preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Targhetta Funeral Home in Brighton. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Brighton.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston. The Rev. Danny Tackett will officiate, with McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of the local arrangements.
