SCOTT CITY-- Janet Lucy Matty, 56, of Scott City died Friday, May 16, 1997, at her home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1940, at Charloroi, Pa., daughter of Michael David Debnar and Virginia Regina Lucas and Michael G. Baciak, her stepfather, all of whom preceded her in death.
Matty was a nurse's aide at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Matty of Hayti; three daughters, Cathy Stults and Karen Huff of Scott City and Laura Englehart of Jackson; three brothers, Michael Debnar of Showlow, Ariz., Mark Baciak of Melboure, Fla., and Stephen Baciak of Clayton, N.C.; five sisters, Geraldine Chilson of Flintridge, Calif., Joan Madden of Moon Township, Pa., Collette Musser of Catlettsburg, Ky., Christine Burke of Tampa, Fla., and Rosemary Baciak of Rice's Landing, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, brother, sister and grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Chapel today from 5-8 p.m. Family will gather at 4 p.m. and a prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Scott City. The Rev. Pat Wissman will officiate with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Scott City.
