JACKSON, Mo. -- Jane Painter Williams, 74, of South Bend, Ind., died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Conway G. and Jane Cramer Williams. Williams was formerly of Jackson. She was a graduate of Westminster College in Salt Lake City and of Peabody College in Tennessee. She had been a librarian at Kansas State, Virginia Tech, and Notre Dame...

JACKSON, Mo. -- Jane Painter Williams, 74, of South Bend, Ind., died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

She was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Conway G. and Jane Cramer Williams.

Williams was formerly of Jackson. She was a graduate of Westminster College in Salt Lake City and of Peabody College in Tennessee. She had been a librarian at Kansas State, Virginia Tech, and Notre Dame.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Peterson of San Jose, Calif.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Jackson City Cemetery. The Rev. Grant F.C. Gillard will officiate.

There is no visitation.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
