SIKESTON -- Jane Urban, 79, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born July 20, 1917, in Kennett, daughter of A.A. and Mabel Robertson Grugett. She graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis in 1936 and William Woods College in Fulton in 1938.

She was a member of Chapter HB of PEO Sisterhood and First Christian Church in Sikeston.

She was a bookkeeper for the W.W. Fitzgerald Accounting Firm and Homestead Distributing Co. in Sikeston.

She is survived by two sons, David Urban of Columbia, Robert Urban of Parker, Colo.; a sister, Jean McCord of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating.
