KELSO -- Jane Mattie Whaley, 60, of Kelso, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Cash, Ark., daughter of Rufus and Sarah Durham Rhodes. She married Claude Whaley Oct. 16, 1972.
Whaley was employed at Florsheim Shoe Co., and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Rick Lewallen of Scott City; two daughters, Marilyn Cook and Linda Hamilton of Scott City; two stepsons, Larry and Jim Whaley of Jackson; a brother, Elvis Rhodes of Pontiac, Mich.; a sister, Melba Hamil of Scott City; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 3 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30., and KC service at 8.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church, with Msgr. John Westhues officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
