JANE HUNT

Jane Murray Hunt, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 20, 1911, at Holden, Mo., daughter of James R. and Prudence Elliston Skerlock. She and James B. Hunt were married Aug. 12, 1931, in Denver, Colo. He died July 9, 1978.

Jane was a homemaker and involved with activities at Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a member of United Methodist Women and had been a member of PTA and a Cub Scout leader.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Sue Hunt of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Billie Skerlock Williams of Tempe, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Dr. Steven R. Hunt and Lynn Kosup of St. Louis; four great-grandchildren, Steven Kristopher Kosup and Katherine Lynn Kosup of St. Louis, Hayden Lan Hunt and Andrew Tai Hunt of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

There is no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gazebo in Cape County Memorial Park. Dr. Clayton Smith will officiate.

Casketbearers will be Dr. Raymond A. Ritter, Dr. Steven Robert Hunt, Kristopher G. Kosup, James W. Bess III, Dr. S. Edwin Noffel and Dr. Thomas Harte.
