Jane Hamelmann, 79, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Florida, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Charleston, Mo., to Sidney and Mary Nickell Schillig. She and William F. Hamelmann were married Nov. 29, 1951, in Folkston, Ga. He preceded her in death June 16, 1997.
Hamelmann was a bookkeeper more than 30 years at Ford Motor Co. in Florida.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Doug Johnson of Farmington, Mo.; two grandsons and spouses, Ben and Robin Johnson of Ironton, Mo., Dr. Chris and Linda Johnson of Carlsbad, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Baker of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Baker.
No service is scheduled. Her body was cremated and the cremains will be scattered at a later date in Missouri and Florida.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
