Jami Lyn Wolak, 23, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 10, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Wayne and Kay Scholz Wolak. Jami Lyn Wolak, 23, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 10, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Wayne and Kay Scholz Wolak.

Jami was a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School and was a 2008 graduate of Metro Business College in Cape Girardeau. She was a licensed massage therapist and formerly worked at Eden Spa in Cape Girardeau. She currently worked at Rhodes 101 Stop in Cape Girardeau. Jami was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her parents of Jackson; two daughters, Kaydence and Brooklyn Phillips of Jackson; a sister, Bobbi (Justin) Bell of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Bob and Joan Scholz of Jackson; paternal grandmother, Lorene Wolak of Jackson; maternal aunt, Debbie (Dave) Nieder of Washington, Mo.; maternal uncles, Randy and Joe Scholz of Jackson; great-aunt and godmother, Clara Stiemle of New Hamburg, Mo.; three nieces, Autumn, Gabrielle and Larissa; two nephews, Nolan and Bryce; and close friend, Robert John Ellis.

She was preceded in death by a great-uncle, Rick Proffer; paternal grandfather, Joseph Wolak; great-grandparents, Bill and Alma Proffer; great-uncle and godfather, Chas Stiemle, and fiance, Jesse Phillips.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to Wayne or Kay Wolak to assist in the care and education of Kaydence and Brooklyn.
