BLOOMFIELD -- James Melvin Williamson, 57, of Bloomfield died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1941, son of James Marion and Irene M. Corbin Williamson. He and Brenda Tucker were married Nov. 24, 1966.
Williamson was an inspector at Arvin Automotive in Dexter. He was a member of South Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church near Essex, Stoddard County Fair Board, Stoddard County Antique Tractor Club, and board member of Bluff Special Road District.
He was a leader with Boy Scout Troop 72, and former leader with Stoddard County 4-H.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Cleveland Williamson of the home, Daron Williamson of Bloomfield; his father of Bloomfield; a brother, Glenn "Rawhide" Williamson of Bloomfield; a sister, Freda Williamson of Sikeston; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Revs. Doyle Corlew and Kenneth White will officiate. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Essex.
