CAIRO, Ill. -- James J. "Blinky" Siegelman, 70, of Cairo died Friday, June 11, 1999, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Cairo, son of Joseph H. and Beverly Foster Siegelman.
Siegelman had been a truck driver with Inman Freight Systems.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; four daughters, Debra Siegelman of San Diego, Calif., Sharon Short of Paducah, Ky., Janet Ransom of Murphysboro, Brenda Sarten of Clinton, Ky.; and a son, Robert Siegelman of Ullin.
Also surviving is a brother, George Siegelman of El Paso, Texas; two half sisters, Beverly Carpenter of Houston, Texas, Marilyn Cremeen of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The Rev. Glynn Copeland will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery at Charleston.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 10 a.m. until service time.
