JAMES R. GRISWELL

ORAN -- James Roy Griswell, 65 years old, of Oran, died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, April 12, 1991, at Sikeston Convalescent Center, where he resided.

He was born in McNairy, Tenn., July 22, 1925, son of Monroe and Ollie Weaver Griswell.

On March 30, 1944, he married Shelby Smith, who survives, of Oran.

Griswell was a retired farmer.

Other survivors are sons, Charles Griswell, Oran, Terry Griswell, Bloomfield, and Clifford and Billy Griswell, both of Henderson, Tenn.; daughters, Jearldine Urhahn, Sikeston, Mary Daniels, Bloomfield, and Rosa Knotts, Oran; a brother, J.R. Griswell, Crowder; a sister, Virginia Lockhart, Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, two brothers, a sister and a grandson preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Bob Holland officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
